The Kumite Lifestyle Forum

A place for the people in the rooms — wrestlers, fighters, coaches, podcasters, listeners, and everyone moving with intent in between. Talk training, share gear, swap travel tips, dissect episodes, and stay connected between drops.

Read the Rules

Got something to say? Tap above and start a thread — your topic goes straight to the community where members can reply, share, and dig in.

How to start a conversation

Three quick steps from quiet listener to full-on contributor — takes about a minute.

  1. Pick a topic that matters. Training question, podcast take, gear review, travel tip, a win to celebrate — anything you would want to talk about with the people in the room.
  2. Write your post. Give it a clear title and enough context so people can respond. Add photos or video if it helps. Specifics get better replies than vague questions.
  3. Tap Post a New Thread. Your thread goes live to the whole community. Watch for replies, jump back in, keep the conversation going. That is it — you're in.
House rules & code of conduct

Read this once. It is the deal we make with each other.

1. Respect first, always

This forum exists because we all care about the same things — the work that happens on the mat and at the mic. Disagreement is fine and expected. Disrespect is not. Speak to others the way you would want a stranger to speak to your training partner.

2. No hate, no harassment

Discrimination, slurs, harassment, or targeted attacks based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, body, or background get zero tolerance. One warning, then a ban. If a thread gets ugly, hit Report — moderators read every flag.

3. Stay on topic, mostly

Each category has a theme. Use the right board for the right conversation — Training Talk for technique, Off-Topic for anything else, and so on. We are not strict about it, but threads that consistently derail get moved or closed.

4. No spam, no shilling

Do not drop random promotional links, drop-shipping pitches, or "check out my course" posts in unrelated threads. Got something to share that's genuinely on-brand? Post it with full context in the right place. Repeat self-promo without contributing to the community is a ban.

5. Privacy is sacred

  • Don't share someone else's real name, phone, address, employer, gym, or anything they haven't shared themselves.
  • Don't screenshot DMs or private threads without consent.
  • Don't dig up old posts to weaponize someone's past against them.

Doxxing or coordinated harassment = immediate permanent ban + the relevant platforms get a report.

6. No illegal content, threats, or harm

Anything depicting illegal acts, threats of violence, instructions for self-harm, content sexualizing minors, or content promoting real-world hate movements is removed instantly. Severe cases get reported to law enforcement and the platforms hosting the user.

7. Intellectual property

If you did not make it, credit the person who did. Don't post copyrighted videos, articles, or images without permission or fair-use justification. We honor every legitimate DMCA takedown notice.

8. Moderators have final say

Our moderators are real people doing this on top of their day. They are not infallible — but on this forum, their decisions stand. If you think a moderation call was wrong, message a moderator directly and explain. Don't relitigate it in a thread.

9. How to report

Every post has a Report button. Use it. We would rather get five flags about a post than zero — flag fatigue is a real thing in forum communities and we trust the community to help us catch what we miss.

10. Consequences

For most violations the order goes: warning → temporary suspension → permanent ban. Some things (hate speech, doxxing, threats, illegal content) skip straight to permanent ban. Banned accounts can appeal once via the support email; second offenses don't get an appeal.
