Where does my donation actually go?+
Straight back into the work — production gear, audio & video editing, hosting, episode distribution, guest travel, and the community we platform. Nothing goes to overhead, salaries, or anything outside the show. The smaller we keep our costs, the more your support compounds.
Are donations tax-deductible?+
No. Kumite Lifestyle is a media brand, not a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Contributions are personal gifts of support — not tax-deductible. We're upfront about that so you can decide what makes sense for you.
Is there a minimum amount?+
No minimum. $1 means just as much as $100 — both keep the show running. Give whatever feels right for where you are right now.
Do I need a PayPal account to donate?+
No. PayPal's checkout lets you pay as a guest with any Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover card — same as any other online store. A PayPal account just makes it faster if you happen to have one. Your card info goes through PayPal's secure checkout; we never see or store it on our end.
Can I set up a monthly / recurring donation?+
Yes. On the donation page you'll see three tabs at the top: One-Time, Monthly, and Yearly. Pick whichever fits — recurring donors can pause or cancel anytime from their own PayPal account, no awkward "I need to cancel" message needed. Recurring is the most meaningful kind of support there is, and we're grateful for any donor who picks that path.
Do I get anything in return?+
Honestly — just our gratitude and a personal thank-you. We don't have membership perks tied to donations. If you want gear or branded items, the Kumite Lifestyle Shop is the right place — buying merch supports the same mission and you walk away with something tangible.
Can my business or organization support instead?+
Yes — and there are clearer pathways set up for that. Sponsor an Episode if you want host-read brand integration on the podcast, or Advertise if you want banner placements and social cross-promo. Both come with custom proposals and clear deliverables.
Can I donate anonymously?+
Mostly, yes. PayPal will share with us whatever name is on your account or card — but we never publish donor names, post them on the show, or share them anywhere public. If you'd rather not have your name appear on our internal records at all, you can pay with a card linked to a different name (a partner's, a business account, etc.) as a PayPal guest checkout. We'll still see the contribution; we just won't ever broadcast who sent it.
